Despite her popularity in Hollywood, she has recently revealed that the upcoming movie Black Widow will be her last appearance in the Marvel Universe.
Earlier this year, Scarlett Johansson filed a lawsuit against Disney for violating the terms of their contract by releasing Black Widow simultaneously in theaters and on Disney+. According to reports, the contract stated that the film would have an exclusive theatrical release and that Johansson’s salary would be based on its box office earnings. However, the dispute was eventually resolved, and Johansson appeared to be content to return to work on set.
In the past, Scarlett Johansson expressed her pride and enjoyment in working with the team at Marvel. Despite having resolved her issues with Disney, the actress recently announced on The Good Podcast that she will not be reprising her role as Natasha Romanoff, also known as the Black Widow. The podcast is hosted by Gwyneth Paltrow, who portrayed Pepper Potts in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
“I’ve completed my chapter. It’s over now. I accomplished everything that was required of me. Reprising a role repeatedly for more than a decade is an extraordinary experience,” the American actor stated with confidence.
“Being a part of the Avengers was an absolute blast. I was young, single and had a great time!”
